Opening Day for softball

Since this was our first year of softball, we had no idea what to expect of Opening Day.  We got to the park and there were bounce houses, icee truck, lots of food, and lots of fun for the kids.  Ty couldn't wait to do the batting bouncy.

Tatum had a game that morning at the park so we were there early and were able to actually get a spot to park.  Here she is at bat!

And she hit a coach pitch and made it to first base!

Then she stole 2nd and 3rd and was waiting to run in for a run!  She did awesome and she was so pumped about this!

Then all the teams got dressed up in silly costumes in front of their banner and paraded around the field.

Then they sat and waited to be introduced as a team.

The Queen Bees!  They won for best banner and costumes, so exciting!!!  What a great start to an awesome season!

Softball begins!

Tatum wanted to try softball this year since a few of her friends at school had told her great things about it.  Her and her friend Ellie were put on the same team, the Queen Bees.  And after a few weeks of practice, they had their first game and it was so great!

The girls play all the different positions so here is Tatum at 3rd base, looking ready.

Tatum loves her team mates and some of them have played for 4 years so they helped teach Tatum and Ellie the songs to sing while at bat, and all the moves. :)

Coach Jason and asst. coach Mike were awesome and we really couldn't have asked for better coaches.

Tatum loves batting!

And she also loved suiting up for catcher.

This first game really solidified her love for softball and I think she's hooked!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Look at these sweet lips!  We had a note and these lips sent to each kid in their classroom.  So cute!
Smooch!

Tatum enjoyed her class party, lots of games and fun.
And on Valentine's Day morning, like always, the kids enjoyed a scavenger hunt to find gifts all over the house.

So much love and fun!

Father Daughter dance and Mother Son dance

First it was Tatum and daddy's turn.  Look at how handsome and beautiful they are!

They went out to dinner with Sarah, Paul, Kaitlin and Eric and then had a wonderful night of dancing at school.  Actually, it's more like the girls dancing together and the dads standing over on the side talking and looking at their phones. :)

But quite a handsome bunch!

Here's Destiny, Kaitlin and Tatum being silly girls.

What a sweet girl.

This was my first year to get to go to the Mother Son dance and we were so excited!  It was super hero themed and we couldn't wait to dress appropriately.

After meeting Jessica, Blaine, Angela and Cruz at 5 Guys for dinner, we hit the party.  Here's Ty with Cruz and Vinny.

Ty and I waited in line and got a cool picture with props.  So exciting!

Then Ty got some face painting by Ms. Donnelly!

What's a party without two Wonder Women and a Robin!

Here's the boys with Max, another classmate.  The kids had the best time and we almost stayed till the end.  Super fun night!

Tatum's 8th Birthday party

Our baby girl is 8!!!  On Tatum's birthday, I was in Hawaii, but Ty and Daddy made her feel super special on her special day, as well as all those who sent presents.  What a lucky girl!!!  They also had Grandma over and went to Olive Garden, her favorite restaurant.

A few weeks later we had her birthday party and she wanted a girlie nail painting party so she got one.  She invited 10 friends and we went to a nail salon where they all got to pick out a paint color and get a pedicure with a flower on their big toe.  So fun!

I love Sarah's pose! :)

Kaitlin enjoying the pampering.

And Mattie came down with family to be here too!

Ellie as happy as a clam.

Even Grace enjoyed the pedicure.

Molly was all smiles

And even though Destiny just flew home from Costa Rica, she still made it for the party.

And Tatum's new friend Bella was pretty impressed.

After the girls decorated flip flops and finished getting their nails done, they headed to In the Mix yogurt for dessert.  They were so good at dishing up their own yogurts and toppings!

We then headed to a green belt near by for gift opening and lots of silly fun with a bow.

A bunch of very cute toes.

A wild bunch but Tatum really had the best time ever.  Another successful birthday party!
