Father's Day stretched out over the weekend for us and it began on Friday when Tatum made a pie for Daddy.
Of course, taste testing is always necessary. :)
And Daddy loved it!
On Saturday we headed to the San Diego Fair. After enjoying the baby farm animals, we went to check out the kid rides. There were so many to chose from and since this was Tatum's first real fair experience, she needed to ride quite a few. Of course, we couldn't pass up her favorite ride, the merry-go-round...
and after a scary ride with Daddy on the Farris Wheel (her choice), she opted for this Dora swing ride. I was a bit apprehensive since she had to ride on it alone, but she loved it! She laughed through the whole thing and when it ended, we could barely get her off!
Next, she chose a similar swing ride but clearly didn't like it as much. It was a bit faster and there were no pictures of Dora, no fun. :)
Then on the wanna be Dumbo ride with Grandma...
and lastly, a canoe ride. I'm not sure why she chose this one, it was very slow and on her second trip around, she got scared by a fog machine which made her cry the rest of the way around. Daddy ran over and pulled her out towards the end so the rest of the night she kept telling us that Daddy saved her from the scary boat ride. Go Daddy!
Before grabbing some horrible fair food on a stick, Tatum and Daddy enjoyed some fishing and Tatum won a piggy, or Oinky Oinky as she calls him. :)
Sunday evening, after Daddy got to enjoy some golf with his friends, we headed to Coronado park for a free concert. We enjoyed a yummy dinner of salad, chicken and fruit and Tatum loved the Kearny Mesa Concert Band. We were waiting to hear a few Mary Poppin's songs since they played various Broadway show tunes and Mary Poppin's is one of her recent favorites but we did hear ET, Mommy's favorite! :)
