Good bye Disneyland

Before we headed up to Irvine for a few days of Disney fun, Garrett and I had a date night at Petco Park to watch Garrett's favorite baseball team, the Cardinals.

I got these great seats off Travelzoo for cheap, awesome!

And we had a fun, kid free night together.  Perfect date!

And then it was Disney time!  I took the kids out of school so we could enjoy two fun filled days at Disneyland before our passes ran out.  The first day it was just Grandma, the kids and I and we headed to California Adventure.

We hadn't seen the new Cars Land so that's where we headed first.  Ty loved it!

This tractor ride is so fun!

And we loved this floating tire ride.  It was like a giant air hockey table.  At one point, Ty and I got going so fast and hit the side of the wall, that his head whipped back and hit the plastic seat.  Oops!  Good thing he laughed it off, we were having way too much fun to feel the pain. :)

Look at Tatum and Grandma go!

We also saw lots of the movie's characters drive by including Mater and Lightning McQueen!

And how real does this cliff look?  Disney did an amazing job of making everything look so real and California like!

Then, after a spin through the Ariel ride...

while Grandma and Tatum went on Soaring, Ty and I went to the Toy Story 3 D ride.  Love Ty's new glasses!

We also took a spin on the merry-go-round with sea creatures!

Then we stopped at our favorite camping area where the kids can run, climb and play.  It was a very hot day so they enjoyed jumping in the water puddles at the wolf cave.

Tatum climbed a bear...

while Ty checked the map to make sure we hit all the hot spots.

After climbing the bear, Tatum wanted to challenge herself to some rock climbing.

And she rocked it!  She made it to the end and did so well, she did it twice!

Then we ran into Handy Manny!

I couldn't get Ty to look at the camera but both kids loved seeing him and we even got his autograph!

Then we headed to the Disney Jr show with lots of the kids favorite shows.

Here's Ty making a spy glass out of his hands with Jake and the Neverland Pirates, his favorite cartoon!

After all our fun, we were heading out of the park and Tatum ran into this nice lady and her dog.  Of course her dog is not real, Tatum made sure to point this out to the lady.  No foolin' Tatum. :)

For Day 2 of Disney fun, Shauna joined us and we headed into Disneyland.

Grandma was with us of course and we stopped at the Main Street center for some pictures.

Auntie Barbara also joined us!  We love seeing Auntie Barbara, she's always so much fun.

My little princess, so excited to get the day started.
We stopped to grab a fun photo in front of the giant pumpkin Mickey head.  They had just put out all of their Halloween decorations the night before, we were so lucky to see it!

Then we headed for the first ride of the day, Buzz Lightyear, Ty's favorite.  At the end of the ride, they take your action picture and tally up your shooting score, in the blue above.  Here's Tatum and Shauna!

Here's Mom and Auntie Barbara!

And here's Ty and I.  You can barely see his head peaking out from the top but he loves this ride!  Loves the shooting of course, and he did pretty good!  Of course, I could be a tad bit competitive. :)

He loves it!

Then we headed for Peter Pan, another favorite.

Off to Never Neverland!

And then we rode on Dumbo, Ty's first time!  And we also met up with two more friends, Loriann and her daughter Cassie.  Ty and Cassie are close in age and became the best of buds.

One of the main things Tatum wanted to do on her last trip to Disneyland was to see the Princesses.  While the others rode It's a Small World, we stood in line and got to see Jasmin,...

Sleeping Beauty,...

and Ariel!  We actually got to see Cinderella, Snow White and Tiana as well but just from the line.  The princesses switch every 45 minutes so we were there during a turn over.  But we waved to them all!

And later in the day we ran over to see Merida, from the movie Brave.  Tatum was so excited!

I even got in the photo!

And they had a whole area set up for just Merida and her movie props.  Here's a shield and tent.

And here are some weapons that Tatum wanted to take a picture of for Ty.

And then she got to shoot a bow and arrow just like Merida!

Since the others jumped on Pirates of the Caribbean while we went to see Merida, we jumped on the merry-go-round!
And then we met back and rode the Jungle Cruise.

These two were too cute together.  They kept calling each other best friends and buddies, so adorable.

The brave ones tried the Matterhorn ride while the others tried Alice and Wonderland.  This ride was recently redone but we were disappointed that it's still so bumpy!
BFFs!

Then it was time for a much needed candy and ice cream break.  Yum!

The kids just love Grandma and we're so lucky to get to see her all the time.
After our treats, we headed over to try one more ride in California Adventure and then headed home.  Good-bye Disneyland!  We'll miss you!
