Tennessee for a big shin dig!

My Aunt Pat and Uncle Bill live in Knoxville, TN and put on a big party for their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  50 years!  That's very inspiring and definitely a moment to be celebrated.  I was lucky enough to join my mom and we headed out there to see all the family and friends that were gathering for this momentous occasion.

On the day of the event, a few of us gave the happy couple some gifts.  Derek, Chad (their sons) and his wife Chloe gave them a beautifully framed picture of their original wedding picture and invitation with the invitation from this party and a picture.  Can you tell Aunt Pat loved it?!

Mom and I had wine labels made and put them on 8 bottles of wine from California.  We put one bottle on each table at the party and one at the bar, they were a hit!

Here's Chad and Chloe as well as Tony (the best man) and girlfriend in front of the bar.

Here's Uncle Bill reminiscing with friends.

And they had a great band.

Derek even got out and danced with Monica, one of the bridesmaids. :)

The Ringer girls chatting it up.

And then the happy couple danced for us.

And even the boys got a turn with their mom.

Derek pulling out some of his moves. :)

After a long day and evening, we enjoyed sitting down and talking about the fun night and wonderful party.

And here's the wedding party.

The next day, mom and I took a walk and found this old bridge behind Aunt Pat's house.  It was SO hot but we enjoyed stretching our legs and seeing all the beautiful trees.

Family breakfast.

Sherry, on the right, was gracious enough to open her house and had some of the wedding partying staying with her.  We had girls wine time in her kitchen one afternoon, she has a beautiful home.

And a beautiful pool!  Derek brought Clyde over as well as his college friends daughter and they both enjoyed a dip in the pool.

Everyone enjoyed the porch and the shade. :)

Another afternoon, Aunt Pat had wine time at her house and we enjoyed funny stories and lots of wine.

Chloe, Chad's wife, is wonderful and we enjoyed catching up over the few days we had together.

The cousins.

And we celebrated Mom's birthday while we were there so we had dinner and Chloe made her an apple pie, delicious!
Then it was time to head home.  We hated to leave but had some time to kill in the airport so enjoyed these rocking chairs.

If only life was always this easy. :)
