Ty's first real bath and a play date for Tatum

Ty had his first real bath yesterday and was such a good sport. He loves the water, so different from his sister! :)

And Tatum's good friend Ellie came over to play the other day and of course the dress up clothes had to come out. What a pretty princess Ellie is!

And Mandy held Ty while the dress up play continued. He wasn't really interested in getting dressed up I guess. :)

My little ballerina

Tatum started her first ballet, tap and gym class last Monday and she absolutely loved it! She was so proud of her ballerina leotard. It had to be blue, her favorite color of course. :)

There are four girls in her class and they start with tumbling...

then some stretching...

some ballet at the bar...

and then some tap. Tatum loved every bit of it and can't wait to go back today!

Ty's first week

Since we've been buried in house buying, moving and demolition, Ty kind of got pushed to the side before he was born. His room still isn't ready, I couldn't find most of his clothes, blankets and burp cloths which were buried out in the garage, and I hadn't even bought a baby book! Anyway, when he arrived, he also didn't get the welcome home that Tatum had with signs hanging and balloons waving. But Lee came down for our first night home and felt he deserved these things so she ran out and bought this beautiful sign, balloon and info stake, so sweet! It does pay to advertise because the next day, one of our new neighbors came by to introduce themselves and bring a gift, so thoughtful! Thanks Lee!!

Ty's first bath.

Such a hard man with his spiked hair and skull onesie.

Tatum felt he was a bit too hard so she added the bow to his hair for flair. :)

She's a wonderful big sister and loves to help and hold Ty. She also loves to carry her babies around, swaddled up, and asks to use the Boppy so she can nurse them too. Such a mommy already.

Showing off his muscles.

Hanging with Daddy.

Mattie and Jenny came down to see Ty and the house for the first time the other day and the girls had so much fun! Here they are playing on Tatum's big girl bed.

BFFs forever!

The three trouble makers. :)

Our precious Ty arrives!!

After a few days of spastic contractions, we decided it was time to head to the hospital. This is Ty before he came out. Big tummy!

Here's Daddy cutting the cord!

After only a few hours of contractions and a few pushes, Ty arrived! He was born at 8lbs 2oz and 20 inches at 10:32 pm on August 6! Such a sweet little boy.

A proud Grandma!

The next day Tatum came to meet her new baby brother. She was so excited to see that he had come out of Mommy's tummy and she couldn't wait to hold him!

So far, he loves his paci and even likes to hold it in himself. Such a good little boy.

And here he is all dressed and ready to head home. Ok, so the monkey shoes are a bit much but it was late at night and his toes were cold!

And too bad his parents can't find the head rests for his car seat since the house and garage are in shambles so two blankets make due. :)

Headed home!

First weeks at the new house

The last few weeks have been CRAZY! We moved into our new house, which is a disaster, we cleaned and fixed up our old house for new tenants, and in between these things we tried to squeeze in some fun. Here is Tatum having a pool date with Morgan, Dana's niece. Dana's step daughter came along too, Kyla, who is one of Tatum's favorite people. It was nice to get our in the sun and away from cleaning products.

Back to work! Anyone for a game of pic a paint color?!

Then the fun began. Tatum got to paint her own room! She loved it and will show you just what wall she painted. :)

Oh yeah, and Daddy helped too. :)

Then we had to take a moment to recognize Grandma's birthday. We went to the Crab Hut where you wear bibs and they bring you your dinner in a bag. Very interesting.

Tatum loved that we all had to wear bibs. :)

Then we did a few art projects around the new house to keep from going crazy. Here's Tatum putting together Dorothy, our new yard fish.

And here's some sidewalk paint and chalk time. Anything to keep us from going crazy around the disaster.

The workers fit in a nap. And the work still continues. Hopefully we'll have some new house photos to post soon.
