Another day at Legoland

Half way through our Legoland visit, I found my camera in the Ergo pocket so I missed a few photo ops. But I did catch Tatum as the conductor of the train; she did a wonderful job driving!

I know this because I was one of her passengers. :)

She also LOVED the musical water fountain. She needed some coaxing to try it out but after warming up, she was a pro!

Tatum also loved the safari ride and we had to take it twice. It was almost like being at the zoo!

She was an excellent driver! We definitely love our Legoland pass and plan to go many more times over the next 3 months!

Garage Sale at the new house

Our BFFs, the Jazayeri's, came down to SD to play and join us for a garage sale last weekend. We spent the evening before the sale drinking wine outside and getting things ready.

The girls helped out by making our signs. They looked beautiful! :)

And Ty tried to catch some Zs. Such a cutie.

During the sale, the girls had some art time in the garage. Before Jenny and I knew it, Mattie's hands were covered in marker pen (apparently she was painting her nails) and my kids lips and cheeks were decorated in marker pen (obviously lipstick and blush). Oh goodness!

And the Nevens' joined us! All in all, everyone sold a few things, made a little fun money, and our things went on to a better home. :)

3 months old!

I can't believe my little man is 3 months old! I feel like it's flying by and I wish I could push pause. He's the sweetest little baby (very different from his sister when she was this age) and so patient and accommodating. He loves his big sister and laughs at her crazy faces and big hair. He loves to giggle, show his dimples, and watch Mr. Fan. But most of all, he loves to sleep, what a Godsend. I guess he's exactly what they call a second child. :)

Here he is enjoying his jumperoo for the first time. He was mesmerized by the flashing, singing kangaroo but now he's use to it and plays with the toys.

Of course I set this on level one, thinking that would be perfect for him since it was even a little high for his sister. But when I put him in it, he practically sat on his feet. He's quite long I guess so already he's up to level two. And he's already wearing 6 month clothes! Oh, they grow up way too fast. :(

Legoland!

Tatum's friend Ellie was going to Legoland with her mommy, aunt and grandma and was kind enough to invite us along. We got a 3 month pass at Costco which only cost $63, around the same price as one admission. We barely got in the door when we found this fun play area that the girls loved. Here's Tatum peeking...

and here they are in the fire station...

and in the tower, using the binoculars...

and inside a lion's mouth!

Ellie's Grandma bought both girls crowns, how cute are they?! We had such a fun time and barely saw a fraction of the park so we can't wait to go back many more times over the next three months!

Fighting the nap

As some of you know, Tatum gave up naps (her decision of course and completely against my wishes). So instead of a nap she takes a "rest", where she can sit in her room reading books (her favorite past time) or playing with toys. She's aloud to come out when the timer goes off and she's very good about obeying this rule. Anyway, she was very tired one day but said she didn't need to nap, she was just going to read books. But when the timer went off and she didn't come out, this is what I found. A little nap on a bean bag.

We were suppose to head to dance class after rest that day but Tatum is about as pleasant as her father is after being woken up from a nap. Due to this pleasant demeanor, she decided she didn't want to go to dance and would rather stay home and make a craft. Fine with me since who wants to take a crabby kid to dance class. Instead, I went to www.kaboose.com, a great craft web site, and we made this Scarecrow face, lots of fun! We're trying to get in the fall mood, despite the hot weather outside. :)

Happy Halloween!

Our Halloween celebration started on Wednesday when we dressed up for the Disneyland Trick or Treat special. Here's our pretty Cinderella...

and our little lion.

There were so many people there and lots of characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes. So much fun!

Ty loved all the people and costumes...

and Tatum loved the parade and all the treats!

Then Halloween morning we met Mattie and Isaac over at the Irvine Zoo. Look our cute little girls!

They enjoyed trick or treating and doing a scavenger hunt where Grandma was manning one of the stations.

Our cute fireman, lion, Minnie Mouse and Cinderella.

Then we enjoyed some more fun like making a bat face and a ghost...

posing as a ghost...

and watching the bears eat out of pumpkins.

Then we dressed up one last time that night for trick or treating. We wanted to check out our new neighborhood and we had so much fun and met lots of new people. Can't wait till our lion can enjoy it next year!

Wild Animal Park fun

Look at our little man and his proud sister. First time trying out the Bumbo and doesn't he look like he's enjoying himself? :)

And here are my men watching Sunday football.

Tatum and I headed to the Wild Animal Park with Grandma to meet Ali and Bailey. It wouldn't be a trip to the park without a ride on the up and down. The Okapi, one of our favorites!

We had a great time going on the tram, checking out the monkeys and then hitting up the play area.

The girls enjoyed a ride on the safari jeep. Yahoo!

The whole park was decorated with scary spiders, bats and pumpkins. Tatum wanted to take this one home with us. :)

Erica's shower

The night before Erica's baby shower, we had a fun time making yummy desserts. You can see who was the tester. :)

Jacquie came over to help us. We spent most of the night trying to melt a bag of white chocolate chips which eventually burned but gave Jacquie a great steam facial. :) Who knew burnt white chocolate was so delicious!

Then the next day was the shower and here's the cake her mom brought, too cute!

Erica with her mom and relatives

You diaper sniffer!

During gift opening, we had to tell Erica that even though the gifts were for her, she didn't get to wear the clothes. :)

Erica's niece Taylor and Tatum were great gift helpers. They were so good at taking turns.

And here are some of the girls. What a fun afternoon!

Even Ty and Grandma enjoyed the party. Ty can't wait to meet Baby Nevens, just a few more months!
