Tatum's Dinosaur Play

The 2nd grade put on a Dinosaur play that they had been practicing for since before Christmas!  They had two shows, one for the school, and then one for the parents at night.  The stage looked awesome!

And Tatum was right up in front!

Here she is reciting her lines at the night show.  She had 4 lines and she nailed them!

After the play, they all went outside to get photos and celebrate!  Here's Emily, Kaitlin and Tatum.

Here's from left, Tatum, Bella, Harper, Grace, Sole and Ellie.

The best part was that Shauna could be there!

Oh these two, best buds!

Tatum's s lucky to have so many wonderful friends.

And here's Kelsey, Tatum, Ellie and Sarah getting silly!

The play was put together by Tatum's wonderful teacher Ms. Weidetz and she did an awesome job!

Garrett's 40th birthday!

Garrett is turning 40!!!  It took him awhile to figure out exactly what he wanted to do to celebrate but when he got it all figured out, it turned into an awesome weekend!  It started by us saying goodbye to Grandma and the kids and heading down to the Hyatt Mission Bay.  Look at this view!  The kids were so jealous we stayed at a hotel with a slide!

After we got ready, we headed over to his party at Stone Brewery in Liberty Station.  We rented out the bocci ball room which was so nice to have all to ourselves.  And all our friends came to join us!  Here's me and my girls!

And we had delicious food set out for everyone, and Jacquie and Shauna brought Nothing Bundt Cakes for dessert, delicious!

And there was lots of crazy fun!  Here's the neighbor boys being silly with their bocci balls.

Our crazy Liz!

Ladies!

My sweet husband is 40.  Where has the time gone?!

Oh, and as the night went on, the craziness got crazier. :)

What an awesome turnout!  Garrett had the best time, best way to ring in the 40 years!

The next morning we headed down to the pool for some fun in the sun.

It was just the two of us but it was perfect.

And Garrett sported his new shirt from Shauna.  Love this picture!!!

In between the chaos

Even though we keep pretty busy with sports, friends, etc., sometimes we have some time for lazy fun.  Here's a box we got something delivered in and it quickly became an awesome outdoor fort for lunch.

Then the next day we brought it in for art time.  Shortly after this it found it's way to the recycle bin, but lots of fun while it lasted.

Keira invited the kids to her 6th birthday at The Boardwalk, an amusement place.  The kids loved it!  After pizza, cake and signing, each kids got tokens and had the run of the place!  Ty went straight to the motorcycle games.

Tatum rode on a few rides with Keira, one was a spiny one which left her feeling a bit sick to her stomach.  But the merry go round is always a tame choice!

One day Ty found his arm sling from a few years back when he had nurses elbow.  He wanted to be wrapped up again.

Then I had to be wrapped up.

Then we both did.

Then his head needed a bandage.  This game went on for quite awhile as you can see, lots of fake injuries.

Ty had a his bro Blaine over and they got out and set up every car they could find and put on a whole world.

Tatum had a chance to dog sit the neighbors dog Molly.  She's so sweet and she really enjoys Tatum.  This was great experience and responsibility for Tatum, she loved it.

One Friday afternoon after we tried to take the kids to a batting cage and couldn't find one slow enough for them, we headed to Dave and Busters.  So much fun!  Garrett and I enjoyed drinks while the kids enjoyed endless games!

And lots of tickets!  We also had dinner and then each kid cashed in a bunch of tickets and brought home a few toys.  Lots of fun.

We are so lucky to get to see Shauna's dog Sage quite a bit.  She comes to stay with us different times when Shauna has to work late or when she goes out of town.  Sage and Harley get along really well, but Sage and Cali, not so much.  Cali didn't care to be around Sage in the beginning since she's only been around dogs that are bigger than her.  She couldn't understand what Sage was since she is so small, about the same size as Cali.  But as the visits come more often, the two are able to tolerate each other.  Here is Cali on the couch at the same time as Sage.  That's a big step.

And here they are sharing my bed!  Wow, only a few feet from one another.  This is progress!

And this sweet man received the game ball for his excellent participation and effort!  Can you tell he's excited!!!

Ty's first tball game and Opening Day!

Ty is in tball and was so excited for his first game.  Of course, some how Garrett and I missed the memo that the kids had to wear white pants and red socks.  Oops!  But that didn't bother Ty one bit.  He was so pumped!

Garrett is one of the four coaches and gets to be out on the field helping all the kids.  Here he is helping set up the t for Ty.

And it's gone!

The first team we played was the Angels and his classmate Naya was on the team.  Here she is at 1st base with Ty.  So cute!

And he made it to home plate!

Guarding 1st base

All the tball teams are named after baseball teams, they are the Red Sox!

After every game the kids have snack and talk about the game and someone gets the game ball.  The kids really love it!

There were games at Ty's Opening Day as well, like this throwing bouncy.  He was throwing 26 miles per hour!

And Tatum threw 23 miles per hour, pretty good!

We enjoyed a fun family day.

And Ty looked great for his pictures.

Go Red Sox!
