Dave concert time!

Oh yes, it was that time of year again.  Dave Matthews concert.  Garrett and I met here 15 years ago this year, I can't believe it.  And here we are!

Dave always starts with lots of fun in the parking lot!

Shauna and I have been going to Dave together about as long as Garrett and I have.  It use to be about getting to the front, but these days, it's just about enjoying the tunes. :)

The three of us have been to Dave together at least 4 times that I can remember, might be a few more.  Such a great group of Dave fans we have.

Unlike last year, being in the pit, we enjoyed the show from a blanket up in lawn.  Mellower than years past, that's for sure.  All in all, excellent concert yet again Dave!

Celebrating Deborah's birthday at the track

Deborah had NEVER been to the track and Garrett and I thought this was appalling!  So off we went for her birthday!

Eric and Garrett proudly presenting their winning tickets.

And here is Grandma and Tatum's wins!  They were the big winners of the day!

We had a blast, lost a little, won a little and then headed to a delicious Mexican restaurant down the street and continued the celebration.  What wonderful friends!

First day of TK and 2nd Grade!

The day before the first day of school, we headed over to find out what teacher Tatum got for 2nd grade.  And she got Ms. Weidetz!  Along with quite a few of her friends, so exciting!

Ty was in the only TK class with Mrs. Otto and had lots of friends in his class too.  We weren't sure who he would know but there was Vinny from his preschool class last year, Cruz, Sophie's brother, and Sarah, Molly sister.  Lots of fun!

Ty was invited to meet his teacher and see his classroom.  What a beautifully decorated door!  He liked Mrs. Otto and enjoyed seeing his friends, but still wasn't so sure about school.

And then it was the first day of school!  Tatum chose this pretty dress we got at Old Navy for her first day.  Such a little lady.

And Ty chose his buckle shorts and this cool shirt Shauna gave him.

He was ready to show off and use his new backpack!
These two are growing up way too fast.  And for the most part, they really enjoy each other, it's sweet.

Tatum was excited to be the big sister and walk her brother in for his first day.  Too cute!

So exciting to see friends!  Here's Tatum and Destiny!

And Daddy was there too, such a treat.  He works so hard, it's rare he gets to campus.  But he always makes time on these special days, he wouldn't miss it for the world.

Tatum's teacher had them sit in the village, outside the classroom and she explained a few things and rules.  Then she asked the parents to wave goodbye and leave them.  :)

Ty LOVED his classroom and his teacher and was so excited.  We waved goodbye and he did a great job!

His pick up time is 12:20 out in front of the school and he came out with a huge smile on his face and wearing this decorated hat!  He had "the best day ever!".

And Tatum came out with the same expression!  Here's her BFF Kaitlin, they get to sit next to each other!  Tatum said Ms. Weidetz is so sweet and she loves her, already, after one day. :)  Too bad the next day Tatum had a cough and I had to pick her up at the nurses office and take her to the dr.  Nothing besides a common cold but she kept coughing and felt uncomfortable in class.  Ty came down with it the next day too, new school year germs!

Camping in San Elijo with wonderful friends

We were invited to buy our friend Kelly and Jame's extra camping spot at San Elijo and we said, heck yeah!

Leanne, Ryan and Isaac joined us on the spot, as per usual.  Our favorite camping buddies!

We walked down to the Arce's spot and met all their friends, wonderful people, and caught a family photo down at the sunset.

The next day, after breakfast, we took a few laps around the camp ground.  This guy LOVES to razor!  And he also loves wearing my snowboarding helmet. :)

Look at this crazy guy!

We spent the day down on the beach, enjoyed some delicious food that Ryan smoked in his hand made smoker, and had a yummy meal down with the Arce's and friends at their campsite.  After some smores, long talks, we packed up and headed home the next day.  Wonderful memories.

Another trip to Knotts!

We headed up to Irvine around mid August to get in our second visit to Knotts.  This time all of Camp Snoopy was open with a few new rides like this tree swing,...

and these little cars.  Ty likes a slow paced ride so all the rides in Camp Snoopy are great in his eyes.

Tatum always loves this bouncy ride.

Here was our view.  I remember this being one of my favorite rides as a kid.  Ty wasn't too excited about being so high up.
We met these extremely friendly locals.

We had a chat with some ladies, and then took a ride on the railroad and got held up by robbers!

Ty decided to start practicing his shooting after that and was an awesome shot!  I think he hit almost every target he aimed for.

And then, after a long, hot day, we headed to Grandma's pool to cool off.
A fabulously fun day!

Vegas Baby!

Shauna had some points she needed to use at Marriott and she asked Jacquie and I if we'd like to join her on a trip to Vegas.  We screamed YES, jumped in the car on August 1st and we were off to sin city!  We had to stop for gas and hit In n Out on the way there.  Yum!

Then settled into our room with a nosh and a drink.  Let the fun begin!

After a delicious dinner, we headed to The Chandelier Bar where you feel like you're literally sitting in the middle of a chandelier.  So cool!

See the beautiful crystals covering the whole place?!

Then we headed to Bellagio to check out the gardens...

and we caught the last water show at midnight.  A fabulous first day in Vegas!

The next morning, after we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast downstairs at our hotel, we hit the pool.  Not a huge crowd!

Then got dolled up and took the tram over to MGM.

We did some gambling and free drinking but none of us were big winners.

Then we hit the MnM store for crazy shenanigans!

We stopped in the Coke store where Shauna found a bottle for Amber and Michael, right next to each other.  It was meant to be. :)

And then after another delicious meal, we headed to the hilight of the trip.  The ONE show!  So excited!!!

And it was seriously worth every penny!  There were people coming out of the ceilings, they played every Michael Jackson song we loved, the best show ever!  And the ending to an awesome girls getaway.
