Wild and crazy days!

We had some passes and some spare time so we headed to Urban Jungle with Ellie and friends.  Here is Tatum and Ellie climbing the big rock wall.

Ty's favorite thing is the dance room, I even got in there!

Tatum was invited to Emily's birthday at Chloe's Carousel where the girls had their nails and hair done.  Look at Tatum's Elsa hairdo!

Nothing like a fun afternoon at the winery!

Look at this sunset!

Hard to see us but a beautiful sky!

The Nevens' came up and mom joined us too.  Quite a party!

I always love my Erica time!

Here's a shot of the mimosas mom and I enjoyed at brunch with Tatum after church.  Delicious!

And a beautiful rainbow as I walked out of the gym one morning.  Such a great way to start a day!

Ski time for the parents!

Garrett was awesome and surprised me with a getaway to Big Bear, just the two of us!  He found this hotel, Northwoods, right in the village for inexpensive.  It was beautiful! We went up on a Tuesday, settled in at the hotel, picked up our gear, and then just shopped around the village and had dinner at a new Mexican restaurant.  We had a night cap at our hotel bar and just enjoyed being together.  Seems so rare we get time to talk these days, typical complaint of a parent I guess.

Early the next morning, after a delicious bagel and coffee, we hit the slopes!  And as you can see from this photo, barely anyone was there which was awesome!  It had just snowed a few days before so the conditions were awesome and we had an amazing day.

Crazies!

I was a skier, I've decided skiing is for me and I'll never go back to boarding.  And Garrett had a great day on the board, really feeling the turns and getting more comfortable on the board.  Great day!

And there's nothing better than beers and garlic fries with a snickers to fuel you half way through the day.  A big thanks to Garrett for making this happen and getting us out there.  Love him!

Ice skating with friends

I had bought a groupon for the ice skate rink in Mira Mesa over a year ago and sadly, it was getting close to expiring so Tatum and I talked to some friends, and hit the rink!  The last time I went ice skating, I had taken both Tatum and Ty.  Tatum spent the whole time gripping the wall and I was bent over with Ty between my legs, his feet going every which way besides straight.  After about a half hour of that, both Ty and I called it quits while Tatum pushed on.  But it really couldn't be called a true ice skating experience by any means.  So this time, just Tatum and I went together and she did awesome!

She held my hand for a few minutes but after that, she was on her own and going strong!  No wall holding this time, and when I'd ask if she needed help, she refused and wanted to do it all on her own.  With such style too!

We met up with Ellie, Kaitlin and Novi.  They all had a blast!

Novi takes ice skating lessons and is so good!  We loved watching her do turns and tricks, so amazing.

Such wonderful friends and a wonderful day!
