Ty's last soccer class

This was Ty's second session of soccer and he moved up to the purple shirts this time, which meant the team would scrimmage against each other the last part of the class.

He seemed to enjoy it, but not so much the learning part.  Much more the scrimmage part. :)

And since this was their last class, everyone got a medal.  So cool!  You can tell Ty was proud of himself and enjoyed getting hi fives from his coaches.

Another fun session!  We didn't sign up for the following session since we were hoping to get into Tball but I guess you have to sign up for that in December and we missed it.  But maybe we'll try soccer again soon!

Vegas Baby!

Garrett and I had been looking forward to this Vegas trip for months!  As you can see, we saved up and were ready to hit the tables!  We were driving out to meet Garrett's mom and step dad as well as some of their friends and relatives.  And we were going with no kids!!!  Thanks to Grandma Judy and Shauna, we were a free couple for the weekend!

After we got settled in our Flamingo hotel room, we headed down to Margaritaville for drinks, snacks and an impromptu show right in front of us!

It was a wild night to be had in our kicks! :)

Matt and Garrett got right back to their crazy antics!

And Brian and I got our crazy on too!  Everyone did really well on this black jack table and we had a fun dealer.  I'm usually too intimidated to sit down but she was so nice and helpful, made it fun!

Then we headed to an Irish place, can't remember the name of it, where they had a live band and the boys did a little more gambling.  And drinking of course.

Matt kept buying these crazy big cups with fruity drinks in them, hilarious!

And the night appropriately ended with two slices of pizza in our hotel room. :)

The next morning, after a very expensive stop at Starbucks, (everything is twice as much there!) we headed to Planet Hollywood where they have a large shopping mall.  We wanted to grab a few things and chill out.

After a lazy day, some gambling, and a nap, we headed to Hole in the Wall Batistas where they have delicious Italian food and the cutest old accordion player!

Then we hopped on the city bus and headed to old downtown at Fremont Street.  They covered it and put a show up on the ceiling every hour.  Pretty cool!

I caught a picture of all the boys together, kind of.

How many times have I seen this cowboy in movies and I'd never seen it in person!

The next morning, after a breakfast buffet, we headed to NYNY, where I enjoyed my favorite slot machine, Wheel of Fortune!

And I won!  You can't see the amount here but it was $100!

Garrett and I bought passes to the CSI experience since it's my dream to be a CSI, thanks to my favorite show.  It was fun, we had to figure out a mystery from the scene of a crime and piece together the evidence to find out that it was twins! :)  Aha!

All of Garrett's family kept betting at the video poker machines at the bars since you get free drinks that way, so we decided to hit each casino on our walk back to the Flamingo and try our luck.  And we did pretty good!  I think I lost over all but Garrett won and we both came out with at least 4 free drinks each!

This is about when we decided to get that tattoo we'd been wanting...

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas!

Best trip ever!

Daisy troop trip to the Poway Fire Station

Tatum's Daisy troop had a field trip to the Poway Fire Station and it was very educational.  It started in a conference room where the kids learned about the different jobs a fireman performs,...

how to stop, drop and roll,...

and then in the middle of the presentation, an alarm went off and the speaker had to run out in the ambulance and save someone!  Everyone ran to the side door to see him drive away with sirens and lights going.

Back in the conference room, they finished up by learning from DJ, one of the firemen, about all the items a fireman has to put on in order to properly fight a fire.

Ty and Colton got to join the girls and really seemed interested in it all.

After a tour of where the men sleep while they stay in the fire house, a look at their beautiful kitchen, workout room, and TV room, the kids got to see the inside of a fire truck and all the goodies it can hold.

Then they flashed the lights for us!

What a wonderful team of men we have at the Poway Fire Station!

The kids loved this and enjoyed meeting all the guys.  Especially DJ!

Ladies night out!

A bunch of us girls headed to Vintana for happy hour to celebrate Pamela's birthday.  This place is awesome!  They have happy hour till 6:30 and serve quite a few delicious items for $7 each, plus half off bottles of wine.  We had a blast!

Here's the sexy group from left: Trinity, Seng, me, Tauna, Pamela, Kerri, Deborah, April and Darlene.  Such a wonderful group of ladies.  We decided we had so much fun, we were bringing our husbands back.
So we did!  On Thursday nights they have live music so we all enjoyed cheap food and great drink deals and a wonderful night out together!

Garrett and Eric, the silly ones. :)

And I love this picture Send made for us.  From left, Deborah, Pamela, Darlene, Seng, me and Tauna.  Can't wait to go back again!

Stone Brewery and Superbowl

After a garage sale on Saturday, Garrett went golfing and Grandma, the kids and I went to check out Stone Brewery.  Mom had only been at night in the dark so we wanted to show her how pretty the place is.

They have a few ponds and lots of little paths to entertain the kids while Grandma and I sit and enjoy a glass of wine.

A pretty bridge.

Everyone was being silly, but we all had lots of fun.

Don't let Ty's facial expression full you. :)

On Sunday we were invited over to the Warners for Superbowl.  They could run a petting zoo there since they have baby chicks, chickens, rabbits, goats, and I'm sure a few other animals I'm forgetting.  The kids loved it!

Here's Carlie with a little chick, so cute!  The game was a bust but the kids loved all the animal handling!

Gecko Run!

Creekside had it's first Gecko Run fundraiser at the end of January and the whole school participated and gave it their all!  Even this girl, who can't stand PE and asks me to pick her up early on Fridays so she doesn't have to go to running club. :)

The track was a large loop around the school playground, 1 time around counted as 4 laps.

Look at her go!  She ran almost the whole thing!

Every time she'd come around, a volunteer would give her a mark to show how many times she went around.  She did 5 rounds, giving her 20 laps!  Awesome!

The only reason the kids stopped was because their age group time ended and it was time for the bigger kids to run.  Here's Tatum with her classmate Molly, great runners!

Everyone got water and oranges after the run.

And here's Tatum and Destiny, tired but happy they did it.  What a great way to raise money for the school, and a rewarding experience!
