4th of July weekend

We had an awesome 4th with friends and family this year. Our day started with a patriotic parade in Greentree. Tatum loved her decorated stroller!

Sadri, Jenny and Mattie joined us as well as Grandma, and Harley of course.

Then we met some friends at the Woodbridge lagoon where we had fun swimming, sliding, eating delicious fruit like watermellon and strawberreis (thanks Julie!) and playing with friends.

Then we headed back to Grandma's for a BBQ. Here's the adult table...

and the kid table. Sadri will forever be a kid. :)

Then we continued our yearly tradition of walking over to the field by Irvine High and watching the fireworks show. The kids loved it!

Can you tell by Tatum's expression! She loved letting us know when a firework would go off that was each of our favorite color, her and Daddy love blue, mommy loves pink and Grandma loves orange. (Grandma really likes blue but somewhere along the line Tatum told her she likes orange and that is that) :) And that's it for yet another memorable 4th!

The next day we headed up to see Shauna and her family in Hermosa Beach. While the boys went golfing, the girls had lunch and went to the aquarium at the end of the Manhattan Beach pier. Tatum loved it, they even had an octopus!

Tatum loved seeing "her Shauna" but also enjoyed Shauna's sisters. Each one took turns entertaining her. Here Toni and Tatum are playing on the bed.

And the girls helped dress Tatum up with jewelry, her favorite. And I wish I would have taken a picture of it but Tatum's favorite activity of the day was directing all the girls in coloring. Shauna got her a Dora coloring book with a large carton of crayons and she loved instructing each girl to color certain pictures in certain colors. Oh, a teacher at heart. Or is that just bossy? :)

Later in the afternoon, the boys finished up their golf game and met us in the park for a free concert and dinner. Do they look like pros or what? Did I hear a what? :)

Ok, I'll allow one picture of the large belly.

Tatum loved the music but loved the playground much more and was thrilled that the girls took turns taking her to play and swing. I enjoyed this as well since I was then allowed to sit on my butt and eat delicious spinach dip and sandwiches, yum. Thanks Beastons! We had a blast and can't wait to see you in September!!!
