Starting off the summer right

We run a busy ship around here so between the end of school and the beginning of summer camp, we got in a few fun activities, starting with making edible play dough!  The kids loved making it, using peanut butter, powdered sugar and honey I think.  Yum!

Then we got out the cookie cutters and made lots of fun and yummy shapes!

Christmas tree,...

I think this was a race car,...

and a strawberry!

Then we took a picnic to Lake Poway park after Garrett got home from work and enjoyed feeding the ducks and swinging on the swings.  Ty LOVES swinging on the big kid swings!

And Tatum loves pumping herself!

Synchronized swinging!

Kissing the camera.

And this is what you get when you use the camera timer. :)

Glow sticks!

Tatum had a flower on a stick and Ty had an ax.  Oh the fun of glow in the dark toys!

Tatum's friend Ellie invited some friends over for a pool party, here's Tatum with Ellie, Grace, Sarah and Kelsey.  Such great friends!

Then we headed to the Legoland Aquarium. A bit of a let down if you ask me.  I thought it would be bigger and have more hands on exhibits and more to see.

But Ty and Shauna enjoyed the Lego building area!

Garrett and Tatum enjoyed the hands on tide pool.

It took Ty a lot of coaxing to get him to touch the sea star but he finally did it.

One of our favorite parts of the movie Nemo is when Dori meets her "squishy", a jelly fish.  This tank was one of the high lights of the trip.

Sharks!

Since we had a coupon through Livingsocial, we didn't pay too much for entrance but I don't think we plan on going back to Legoland Aquarium, too bad.
