Happy Easter!!!

We started our Easter celebration on Saturday but going to the pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt in the Poway Community park.  We went to this last year and had a blast.  Same yummy pancakes!

And lots of community businesses out to celebrate as well.  Like this bunny at the soccer camp booth.  I remember when Tatum freaked out getting this close to the bunny when she was just over 2.  Now, no problem!

They put on an Easter egg hunt for each age group and the 3 year olds were up first.  We said Ty definitely had a good chance of getting lots of eggs since he's a big and strong 3 year old.  And he was ready!

And they're off!  He shot out and went straight to the middle to grab as many eggs as he could!

And he just kept on gathering.  I have to say, he was lucky this year since this age group was pretty tame.  Next year he might have a run for his money. :)

And look at all those eggs!

Then we had some time to kill before Tatum's event so we went over to the bounce house area and ran into Ty's very good friend and classmate Colin.  They enjoyed the obstacle course together...

and held hands while they decided what to go on next.  These two are just so cute!

And after making a decision on a bounce house, in they go and it's all smiles.

Tatum was tired of the bounce houses so we headed over to get her face painted...

and also ran into friends!  Here's Emily and CJ, both girls go to Tatum's school.  Look at how tall my little girl is!  She's almost the tallest in her class!

Grandma and I had to grab a quick photo with the Easter bunny of course. :)

And then it was the 6 year old event.  We told Tatum she definitely had to jump out there right away and run to the middle...

but everyone else had the same idea!  And she's just such a sweet girl, running around people, letting others take eggs.  I think I even saw her pick up an egg and hand it to a little girl who was reaching for the same one.  Such a good heart Tatum has.

And either way, she came out with plenty of eggs and candy!  Such a fun event, even though it was pretty hot, we had a blast and will definitely be back again next year!

The the real Easter came and who was up at 6 am dressed in her church dress?  Tatum!  She even slept on the top bunk so she could look out her window and see if she could see any Easter eggs left in the yard by the Easter bunny. :)  We waited for Daddy to get up but then it was time to head out and see what the Easter bunny brought!

And then Easter egg hunt time!

Here you can see our new garden that we worked hard to put together.  It's growing in very nicely!

Tatum and I headed to church to meet Grandma, and then the boys met us over at Grandma's house for Easter brunch and more treats!

Then we headed to Carlsbad to be with the Beastons.  I brought a bunch of stuffed eggs and we hid them out in the parking area.  The kids had a blast running around looking for them.

Thanks for the lift Caty!
And here are all the munchkins.  Shauna's very close friend Katie Hendrickson and her family came out to stay in Carlsbad while her husband participated in the Carlsbad triathlon.  Here are their beautiful children Hillary, Lindsey, Kimberly and Brayden.  Such sweet children and they all got along so well!

Bubble time!

Katie, Shauna and I.  So fun getting together with these wonderful, loving people on such a happy holiday.  Happy Easter!!!
