William Heise Neighborhood camping trip

Time for another camping trip!  Oh, but someone is already pooped from all the packing up.  Ty fell asleep while enjoying his Cheez-its.  So tiring getting ready for a camping trip. :)
Camping with our neighbors!  Last year was the first time we joined the trip and this year we couldn't wait for the fun.  This year we camped at William Heise and we had a total of 6 families and 13 kids.  Here's Jack, Toby and Andrew catching caterpillars.

Time for a group hike!

Here's Colin, Ali, Phoebe, Jack, Toby, Ashley, Ty and Tatum.  They can't wait!

And they're off!

But not far down the road, Matt realized we needed to hear and learn a bit more about poison oak.  Luckily, we made it through the hike without anyone touching any.

And we're off again.

A beautiful hike and the weather was perfect!

Happy kids.

Silly kids!

This little man did a great job of keeping up with the gang. :)

The girls decided to get crazy and cross a gully.
And then after lunch, it was water balloon fight time!

Such a great group of kids...

and especially friends.

Out in the field, they had telescopes set up to see the moon.  You could see things erupting on it's surface!

Ty loved it and had to have a few turns. :)

Then one of the telescopes was set up to a computer so you went under the tent and saw was was on the telescope, on a tv screen.  Pretty cool!

We just love camping.

Then we walked over to the play park before dinner, to burn off some steam.

Poor Ty had an accident in his pants (and I don't mean pee) because all the bathrooms were filled with mosquito eaters (those big flying bugs with long legs) and he wouldn't go in to go potty. He felt so bad but the bugs were even in the toilets!  But as you can see, it didn't bother him too much because he was having a blast with his bro Colin on the slide.
The end of a fun day.  Some beers with the boys...

and the kids enjoying a delicious meal.  What a lucky bunch we are!
