Family visit and we're off to Sea World!

I had to add this photo only because it made me laugh.  We had our carpets cleaned and I tried so hard to block off the carpet part of the house from Harley.  But we ran an errand and when we came back, we found this shape on the freshly cleaned carpet.  Can you see where he walked around in a circle and then promptly laid down. :)  Sneaky dog!

The time had arrived!  Grandma Dini came to visit and brought Aunt Carisa and cousin Peyton!  We had been planning and anticipating this visit since the year before when we booked the hotel night and two days at Disneyland.  But not only were we hitting Disneyland, we had plans to hit 6 parks of interest in a mere 12 days!  First up, Sea World!

Here's Carisa with Tatum, checking out the flamingos.

Turtles!

We all loved the Cirque du Soleil show!

And the shark encounter!

Tatum and Daddy had this game wrapped up.  Who's going to win?!

Tatum!

Some play time!

All the kids got along really well but Peyton and Tatum really enjoyed each other.  Here they are enjoying one of the Elmo rides together.

And Ty and I on the Knight Elmo.

Daddy's such a clown!

Then Tatum, Peyton, Garrett and I braved the new roller coaster.  It was so fast and everyone loved it!

It's hard to see my face but wow, a wild ride! :)

Then we headed up in the circulating tower where we could see all of San Diego!

Dinner time!

Family time at Sea World!  I think everyone really enjoyed this park.

After the Shamu show, we headed over to check out the polar bears.  This one was made entirely of plastic bags!

The kids loved playing in the polar bear caves...

actually, everyone enjoyed the caves. :)

Such a great bunch.

The next day we hit Mission Beach and rented a boat.  These kids were so excited!

And so was this kid on the left! :)

Here's Peyton driving the boat.  He did a great job.

The kids were loving their Grandma Dini time!

Then it was Tatum's turn to drive.

This crazy man loved being in the front.  Garrett took the boat out into the ocean and it was really rough so we turned back and I guess hit the wake of a pretty big boat.  Garrett saw it coming and let us know a second before it hit but we definitely weren't ready.  Ty went flying up and landing on the ground of the boat, luckily not overboard.  And Grandma Dini hit her arm on the head rest of the seat.  What a crazy experience but we all survived.

On the way back in, Ty got to drive.  Such a natural!

And this was Tatum's favorite thing to do on the boat.  Sun bathe. :)

We turned the boat in and went down to the boardwalk to Wave House for some appetizers, beverages and to watch the surfers.

We got to sit in the VIP section, high rollers!

And then it was time to hit the beach!  Peyton had never seen the ocean so this was a big treat for him.  He loved it and couldn't wait to run straight in!

Garrett and Grandma Dini got out there with him.  Sadly, not long after this Peyton got stung by a jelly fish.  We had so many of them dying and washing up on shore.  Even though they were dead, they still can sting.  We asked the life guard for some vinegar but he didn't have any so poor Peyton had to wait it out.

Momma and her kids. :)
