Water Sports camp for Tatum

This was the first year we enrolled Tatum in the Mission Bay Water Sports camp and she loved it!  She was there from 9 to noon every day for a full week with Kaitlin, Sarah and a few other friends.  Here they are on their first day, ready to set sail!

They were so excited!

And off they go!  They had a nice ride around the bay, while learning different parts of the boat and how to handle a sail boat.

And while they were having fun out on the boat, Ty and I set up our chairs and towels on the bay and enjoyed some sand play.

After class, we had a beach picnic before heading home.

The next day the girls went out on a paddle board.

I think Tatum said she liked this day the best. :)

Ty and I took a walk with Deborah around the bay and on the way back we ran into where the kids had docked for some play time.

Tatum loved this banana raft!

On our way back, we also stopped at the Catamaran hotel to use the restroom and Ty loved their indoor koi fish pond!

It's a beautiful hotel with a water fall and pond that goes outside as well.

On the third day, the girls learned how to sail a catamaran.  Pretty cool.

And while they did that, Ty and I walked back along the bay to Fanuel Park.  One of our favorites.

While we were there, the girls docked again and come over for some play time.

And after they left, I was learning about the camera on my phone and it's different modes.  Here's drama mode that catches one in action.  Pretty cool.

And the panorama mode.

The next day we brought Grandma and since it was so crowded, we had to drop Tatum at class and park all the way over on the other side of the bay.  That meant we got to walk by the hotel again and Ty couldn't wait to show Grandma the koi pond.  His favorite fish was this big black one.

He just stuck around, right in front of Ty.  Seemed to like him, or at least thought he was going to get a treat. :)

It was paddle boat day where they learned how to peddle the boats as well as kayak.

We got back around to the bay area near the school and I left Grandma with Ty while the girls and I took out some paddle boards.  So fun!  And the school let us take them for free!

We all enjoyed this so much that on the last day, I left Ty at home with Grandma and after dropping Tatum off at class, some of the girls and I took out the paddle boards again and headed over to the Catamaran.  We fully planned to paddle over, enjoy a mimosa, and then paddle back.  But the hotel wouldn't serve us without shoes!  On the beach mind you!  So crazy but lesson learned.  Next year we'll bring our shoes on the front of the board before heading over. :)  Tatum absolutely loved this camp and we'll be signing up again next year for sure!
