Wonderful fun in November

We had lots of fun in November.  Lots of time with friends that we're so lucky to have.  Here's Rohini, Ty's friend from school.  She came home with us for a few hours of play after school one day.  Ty loved having her over!  He has quite a few friends in his TK class and I think it's about half boys and half girls. :)

Tatum also has quite a few dear friends.  Here's a day we met some friends at the Scripps Poway rec park.

Tatum, Kaitlin, Bella and Ellie.

Mom and I had to go pick out a new oven for Vale Street, so we made it a day of fun by stopping at two new wineries we'd never been to.  This one was ok, not our favorite wine, but very friendly people.

Then we went to one on a home property and got a tour of the storage and fermenting rooms.

Beautiful background and delicious wine.

And they had a very friendly cat!
Creekside invited all the school's girl scouts to gather for a picture in honor of the birthday of the founder.

Our whole troop couldn't be there but here most of them.  From left, Kelsey, Emily, Molly, Ellie, Samantha, Destiny, Tatum and Kaitlin.

They also honored the girl scouts and had all the girls stand up at Friday Flag.

For November, the girl scouts put on a food drive where each grade level gathered a certain food item in boxes that the girl scouts decorated and placed in each class.  Our group decorated 3 boxes and then each class had a few girls to stand up in front of the class and tell about the importance of the food drive.  Molly, Harper, Tatum and Kaitlin did a wonderful job.

We love family time and we love TV so what better than a family TV movie slumber party by the fire!  These are the best moments.

A sweet present Cali brought into the house while Grandma was watching the kids. :)  She LOVED that!
It's field trip day!  The second graders went to see Beauty and the Beast at the Poway performing arts center put on by a junior theater group that practices as our school on weekends.  We had a few friends in the show!  Here's Tatum and Kaitlin all dressed up and ready for the show.

I got to be a chaperone!

Here's Ms. Wiedetz class.

Molly, Tatum, Kaitlin, Bella and Harper enjoying the show.

And a shot with the cast!

Here's Garrett coaxing Ty to try riding his bike.  Ty's not interested in riding at all and this was practically forced by both Garrett and me.  He hates not being in control and doesn't like the way the bike slightly tips due to the training wheels.  We tried taking wheels and petals off to make it more like a leaning bike.  Nope.  This was a rare moment.
The Nevens' invited us over for dinner and some fishing!  This is a view from their porch.  I can't say the guys caught us dinner but the kids had a blast.

And then after dinner, everyone enjoyed smores.

Just so blessed to still have this lady in my life.  Love her.

We had a teacher professional day one Monday so we went to check out a new kid place called Urban Jungle.  And here's Tatum and Kaitlin climbing the building wall.  Tatum wasn't so sure about it and will get about half way up the wall and then gets scared and drops.

The wall has a few different sides and this is the rock side, a bit easier to climb.  Some of the kids got all the way to the top to ring the bell!

This was high enough for Tatum. :)

Love these wonderful friends!

Tatum's class had a geneology report.  It consisted of interviewing an ancestor and writing a 4 paragraph report, making a family tree with pictures, picking a country and decorating a flat paper doll in the countries clothes, placing it on the country on the map, and giving an oral report on the country.  Wow!  But Tatum did an awesome job and stood up in front of class, gave eye contact and did it!  So proud of her.  I wasn't able to attend the feast but each class member signed up and brought a food dish from their country and they had a delicious feast!  Tatum made Irish gingerbread cookies with Grandma.

These two and so sweet.  I know I've posted pictures of this before but it's just so endearing.  Anywhere that Harley lays down, Cali is right there to cuddle up, lick his head and keep him warm.  We don't know how much longer Harley will be with us since he's getting old, but we'll take every day we can get.  Love these two.
