Christmas Fun

After a short break, the Tatum blog is back in action. We had a fun 10 days up in Irvine but before heading up there, we went to enjoy the Festival of Lights at the Wild Animal Park.

Here Tatum is enjoying a sled ride in the snow!

She had just gotten sick the day before and wasn't feeling her best but we pushed on and tried to enjoy the pretty lights and Christmas atmosphere.

The only time she really brightened up was when she rode the lion on the Up and Down, endless fun. :)

It was snowing at the park too! Well, the snow machine made that happen but Tatum was pretty impressed. :)

The next day we went to see Grandma at the Irvine Zoo where we tried to sit on Santa's lap but there was no way Tatum would even get near him. For weeks she said she wanted to sit on Santa's lap and ask for a baby stroller and baby bed but it was a no go.

But they offered coloring which she always loves.

Then we got to baby sit Baby Isaac. This was eye opening for Tatum as she loves Baby Isaac but half way through the day she told him to go bye bye, she was done sharing her mom. :)

Christmas Eve was spent with the Beaston Family and we all had such a wonderful time. I took limited pictures but we first attended Mass, which Tatum did ok in. She was still sick at this time and had to go outside with Daddy a few times. But her favorite part was when Daddy took her up to the alter with the other children so they could talk to the priest about the meaning of Christmas. I was a little reluctant about this but she did a wonderful job of sitting on the step and actually listening to the priest for a few minutes, before deciding she was done and wanted to head back to the pew. It was so cute. Back at their house, we had an amazing meal and Tatum got to open some presents.

One being a baby with stroller, bed and highchair, OMG! Tatum was so elated that when she got the paper off the box and saw the baby inside, she exclaimed, "I need the scissors!", too funny!

Then it was Christmas day and Santa came! Tatum loves the car he brought her. She doesn't quite get how to push it forward but just enjoys loading her babies in and out and talking about where she's going.

She ripped into her presents and enjoyed it immensely.

She even helped everyone else open their gifts!

After the Christmas craziness, we headed to Ruby's to meet up with Erica and some friends. Tatum got a purse with earrings, so cute!

And it wouldn't be a complete trip without a ride on the Up and Down. They switched the horses out at South Coast Plaza to reindeer and sleds, so exciting! All in all, we had a wonderful holiday and look forward to more Christmas fun next year.
