Easter Time!

The day before Easter, we headed down to the Poway Community Rec Park where we met Grandma and enjoyed a neighborhood Easter Festival.  They had egg hunts for different age groups and Ty's was up first.  They gave the signal and when it was time to get out there and hunt, Ty refused to move.  He freaked out and started crying, just as the batteries in my camera fell out the bottom into the grass.  Chaos!  I got the batteries back in and caught Garrett giving Ty a pep talk about the hunt...

And after much coaxing, he went out with Daddy and found a few eggs. These two are so cute.

After getting out there, Ty realized how fun it was and that there was candy in the eggs!

All smiles now!

Before Tatum's hunt, we ran over to enjoy the bounce house area.  The kids did the obstacle course and raced each other.  A close heat!

Yummy candy!

Here they are waiting patiently in line to get on another bounce house.  Tatum is such a good big sister and borders on a mommy with Ty.  We actually call her mini Mommy. :)  I hear her talking just like me to him: "Now just stand here and wait your turn and take your shoes off before you get in."  So cute.  Not sure he thinks it's too cute. :)

These photos download randomly, or I haven' figured out this new system and how to download them in the right order.  Anyway, here's a shot of Tatum when they gave the signal for her hunt to begin.  She was one of the first out there!

Both kids checked out the batting bounce house.  Ty just walked up and put the ball in the hole. :)

Tatum tossed it appropriately and almost got it in!  Maybe she'll be our pitcher!

The serious hunter.

She did take a second away from hunting to wave though.

Wow, great job Ta!

Then it was Easter morning and the bunny came!

He also left eggs all over the yard, more candy!

After church we headed to 94th Aero Squadron.  A delicious brunch but we won't be going there on to enjoy a holiday meal again.  Way to crowded!  But they have all these old planes out in front and in back so Tatum took our picture in front of one of them while we wanted for our table.

After surviving the long buffet line, we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

This girl just makes me smile.  She's always smiling, eager to help, and so thoughtful and loving.  Such a dream child.  Don't get me wrong, there's problems here and there but very few.  What a blessed Easter to be together with the ones we love.
