A family visit

It seems that the layout of Blog has changed so I'm still trying to get use to it.  Anyway, when I downloaded these pics, I did it the old way which I guess is the wrong way since the last pictures downloaded first.  So we'll start at the end.  My family from Colorado came out to see my second cousin's rowing team compete in Mission Bay.  We were ecstatic since it's rare we get to see our Colorado family and we've never seen Olivia row!  But before we get to that, we start at the end of the week with our family when we took Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom to the tide pools at the Cabrillo National Monument.  What a beautiful view!

This was obviously pre hair cut. :)

Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom admiring the ocean with Tatum and Grandma.

Then we headed down the hill to the tide pools to have some lunch and see what creatures we could find.

We saw some little fish, sand crabs, and some sea slugs.  Pretty exciting!

Then on the way home we stopped by the cemetery to see Uncle Tom's grave site.

Earlier in the week, we headed down to Crown Point in Mission Beach to watch Olivia's rowing competition.  It started out cold since we got there bright and early to see her row, but it warmed up and we enjoyed lunch on the beach.

They also had a bounce house area with slides and obstacle courses, fun for the kids.

Uncle Tom and Ty enjoyed catching up while watching the rowing.

And here's Olivia with my cousin Erin and Greg.  Olivia's team took 3rd place!

Fun at the slide!

And there's Olivia bringing in the boat.  I know there's a more official name for it but it's escaping me at the moment.

And there's Olivia on the left, the front seat of the boat.  They did awesome!

And the sisters, Aunt Mary and mom!   What a fun week with our family, wish we could do it much more often.
