We had a wonderful activity planned for this first day of our month long Christmas fun. We were going to American Red Cross to decorate Christmas cards for the military abroad. The kids were so excited to decorate cards for those away from their family over the holidays. And a chance to see our friend Jacquie too since she works there! But at lunch, Ty fell from the bar stool and cracked his chin open. Poor man, we didn't go to the ER or anything, but he was not a happy camper and out of sorts, too grumpy for a trip to ARC. So we decorated our card at home and then I drove it over to Jacquie's house along with a pile of left over Christmas cards to donate for others to decorate and write in. I think the kids enjoyed this activity, knowing they were providing some Christmas cheer to the soldiers that protect our country. :)
