25 Days of Christmas, Day 6

Today we made candy cane reindeer and the kids loved it. It was a bit hard for them so I was helping a lot but they loved the googly eyes of course.

We were invited over to the Bell's new house so the kids made three, one for each of their children. While we made the reindeer, we talked about the meaning of the candy cane and I read this poem to them:
Look at the Candy Cane, What do you see?
Stripes that are read like the blood shed for me.
White is for my Savior, who's sinless and pure.
"J" is for Jesus, My Lord, that's for sure!
Turn it around and a staff you will see.
Jesus my shepherd was born for me!
