Ty's first school field trip to the pumpkin patch

Ty's first field trip was at the local pumpkin patch with his class.  It started with a lesson on all you want to know about pumpkins.

Here's Ty with his good friend Colin.  These two get along so well and enjoy having class together.

Then we caught some funny photos in these wood signs.  Two cute scarecrows!

And a tractor driver!

Then it was time for a hay ride.

And on the ride we got to see lots of different crops, from corn to sun flowers, and lots of pumpkins of course.

After the hay ride, we headed into the corn maze.  Here's the beginning, I hope we make it out!

Thank goodness we had Colin and Susan to walk with through it.

And we made it out, thank goodness.  Thumbs up!

The last step was to pick out a pumpkin that Ty got to take home.  Wow, I never thought this would be such a difficult job.  Ty took a long time, looking over every pumpkin.  We had to find the perfect one.  Not too big and not too dirty.  The stem couldn't be too long and it definitely couldn't be too tall or short. :)

I thought we'd finally found the perfect pumpkin but nope, this wasn't it.
The search went on...

and on...

and on.  But finally he found the perfect one and we were the last ones out of the patch. :)

What a fun first class outing!
