Phoenix

We drove out to Phoenix the second weekend in November to visit with Garrett's mom and step dad as well as his step siblings and families.  The first night, they took us to an all you can eat fish fry and rodeo.  The kids loved it!  Here's, from left, Ty, Ian, Colin, Tatum, Emma and Creed.  The kids clicked immediately and everyone had such a great time together.

Both Tatum and Ty couldn't wait to see their Grandma Dini!

Ready for the rodeo!

The arena was outside and it was pretty cold out.  It was much smaller than the rodeo we saw in Poway a month ago, but they kids couldn't wait to see the horses.  Sadly, we saw about 3 or 4 and then it started pouring and we had to run for cover.

The girls!

The Family.  From left, Papa Jerry, Garrett, Creed, me, Ann, Ty, Grandma Dini, Tatum, Vanessa, Emma, Brian and Ian.

The next day we headed to Ann's house and walked down to their play ground and community center.  Wow, the things you get with your HOA, amazing!  The park was pretty new and had everything you might need.

And swings of course.

Here's Grandma Dini and Ty using a digger.

And the park was next to a huge field where everyone enjoyed a game of football.

Ty got the ball and just kept running.  Everyone thought it was too cute to actually tackle him. :)

Then we headed into the community center where they have a Foosball table,...

pool table, a spa, workout area, party area, outdoor spray area for the kids, as well as a large pool.  Amazing!

Then we headed back to Brian and Thithi's house, where we were staying, for a BBQ and a 3D movie.  The kids had never seen a 3D movie before so they got the glasses on and were so excited!

Cutest man!

They're ready!

The funniest part about this is the movie they grabbed wasn't 3D.  So the kids kept saying, "I think it's popping out at me!", but it wasn't.  Brian had just gotten the tv and hadn't gotten a 3D movie yet but we couldn't let them down. :)

The next morning we headed to another park.  I love this smile!
And then while the kids played with Grandma Dini, Garrett and I headed with Ann, Jerry and Matt to the casino.  Who's the big winner!  Hey, 25 cents is 25 cents! :)

We all enjoyed some gambling and then drinking and gabbing.  Here's Matt, Garrett and Jerry.  The crazy boys!

Garrett was extremely happy that his Cowboys won.  It was dance worthy. :)

And here's Jerry with two of his three crazy kids. :)

And us.  We had the best time at the casino!  So much fun laughing and hanging with Matt, Ann and Jerry.  Great times!

I didn't get a great picture but on the drive home, Matt and Garrett started wrestling like they use to as kids.  Oh goodness!
Shirts were coming off and these two were getting wild!  I tried to steer clear and stay in my seat!  So fun to see Matt and Garrett remember the good ol' days.  They had lots of them together. :)

We headed straight to a house party at Ann's husband John's parents house where a balloon party was going on in the guest room!

Crazy time!

The crazy kids.

And the older crazies!  Nadine and Jerry married and moved in together I think around when Garrett was 14.  Brian had already gone to college I think and Ann might have been a senior.  Oh, the wild times these kids had! :)

More balloon fun in the hall!

Ty loved hanging out with Pa Pa.  They played guns and Ty liked that Pa Pa had a candy dish right next to his chair. :)  These two were fast friends.  The next morning we headed home and it seemed like the trip was too short.  We loved seeing everyone and really enjoyed staying with Brian and Thithi and the kids.  Can't wait to see everyone again soon!!!
