We headed over to the
UTC mall where our favorite band Hullabaloo was playing. Tatum and Ty both love Steve's music and especially all the Christmas songs. Lots of kids joined them in dancing and someone from the toy store came by and gave out balloons!
Ty loved the music but was much more into the balloon. Or the Ba as he calls it. :)
That evening, while Garrett and Ty went to a coworkers 50
th birthday party, Tatum, Shauna, Jacquie and I went to December Nights at Balboa Park. After an hour of trying to get into the zoo parking lot and then finding a spot to park (Tatum enjoyed a cat nap during all that) we arrived to tons of food booths, crafts, and lights
galore. They also had caroling in the
Spreckels Organ Pavilion.
And lots of festive lights. Here's Santa in his
sleigh with all his reindeer. Including Rudolph!
Everyone got lots of festive pictures taken, like this one of Shauna and Tatum in front of some gifts. Shauna got a new camera so she took lots of beautiful pictures that we're excited to see.
And the night was complete with a ride on the merry-go-round with Jacquie. Tatum chose the
giraffe, one of her new favorite animals, but this one didn't go up and down. She said that was fine, which I guess it was, since the merry-go-round went so fast that I was getting ill just watching them! :) Such a festive winter night!

You are so good at doing fun things with the kids. I can't believe how fast they are growing up. I know that's so cliche, but it's true! Can't wait to see you guys again sometime. :)
Yes, Shawna, we'd love to see you soon! And yes, they grow so fast, it's crazy. And some of the things they say and do, hilarious. You know you want some. :)
